Built-In Demand
Every house in Nebraska has a dryer, a husband, and a gap between what he said he'd fix and what he's fixed. That gap is your territory.
Franchise Opportunities • Now Awarding Jake #2 Through Jake #12
Jake can't be everywhere. He's tried. He got very close. So Jake's House Calls is expanding across Nebraska, one Jake at a time. You bring the van, the clean shirt, and the name. We bring the reputation, which, as you may have read, precedes him.
Why Franchise With Jake
Every house in Nebraska has a dryer, a husband, and a gap between what he said he'd fix and what he's fixed. That gap is your territory.
You pull up. The van says Jake. You're Jake. Nobody asks a follow-up question. That's the whole business model and it has never once failed.
Her side and his side. You service the house, then you have a beer in the garage about it. Two invoices, one visit, zero eye contact required.
Four days in a garage in Juniata. Day one: appliances and HVAC. Day two: nodding. Day three: the forty-five minute goodbye. Day four: knowing when she gets home.
Every "STUCK" tank sold in your territory puts money in your cooler. Every "DAMN." tee too. The shirts sell themselves. You just have to be Jake near them.
Franchisees report an average of 4.2 containers of leftovers per week. You will never buy a meal again. You will also never see the bottom of your fridge again.
Requirements
Legally. At the courthouse. We'll come with you. Jacob, Jack, and "Jake with a C" are not Jake. Jake is Jake.
Assigned in order. It goes on the van, the shirt, and your cap. Jake #1 is taken. Jake #1 will always be taken. Don't ask about #1.
Washers, dryers, fridges, furnaces, A/C. This is the part that's not a joke. If you can't fix a dryer you cannot be a Jake, no matter how good you are at nodding.
And a garage. And with a Cool Whip container. And with what Greg said. And with what Greg's wife said. A Jake is a vault. It is a big vault.
Territories
Jake #1. The original. Do not apply for Hastings. Hastings is Jake's.
Big town, big dryers, an interstate exit for discreet parking. Whoever gets this one has to be very, very thorough.
College town. Younger appliances, older husbands. Bring extra cooler capacity for the fall.
Christmas City. The lights go up in November. So does the number of "he said he'd get to it" calls.
Greg lives here. This territory requires a special interview, a firm handshake, and no eye contact with Greg.
We're not ready. Omaha's not ready. There are a lot of dryers in Omaha. It would take a dozen Jakes and we've only got the one.
Current Jakes
JAKE #1Hastings, NE. The original. Founder. Tips his cap. Parks around the corner. Has been inside more dryers than any man in Adams County. It's on the business card.
— Status: Very Active
JAKE #2Grand Island, NE. Awaiting a Jake. Currently the territory is served by Jake #1 on Thursdays, which is why Thursdays in Grand Island have been "weirdly good lately."
— Status: Now Hiring
JAKE #3Kearney, NE. Awaiting a Jake. Applicant pool so far: two guys named Jacob who won't budge on it, and one Greg, who has been told.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The van says Jake. The shirt says Jake. When she opens the door and says "you must be Jake," you cannot say "well, actually." Nobody has ever gotten a second call after saying "well, actually."
No.
Then you'd be Jake. Same name, same van, same number. Jake is a title, not a gender. Frankly, the garage side of the business has been waiting for this.
One (1) fridge repair for Jake #1's mother, done well, without being told where anything is. She'll know. She'll call him. That's the interview.
They nod at each other from across the Menards parking lot and never speak of it. This is also how it works with regular Nebraskans.
Jakes may not alibi other Jakes. It creates a loop. Somebody tried it in 2025 and three marriages in Adams County are still confused.
The repair business is real. Jake is real. The rest is a joke, unless you're actually a licensed tech in Nebraska who'd legally change your name to Jake, in which case, honestly, text him. He'd like to meet you.
Apply
"Jake, I want to be a Jake."
That's the whole application. Text it. If he replies "welp," you're in. If he replies "damn," you're also in, but there's a conversation coming.
